Two American software designers, Sean and Ben, travel to Moscow to sell their software, but their Swedish partner's betrayal leaves them out of business. They meet two women, Natalie and Anne, in a nightclub and soon discover that the lights they initially mistake for a natural phenomenon are actually an alien invasion. The group hides in the kitchen and then sets out to find other survivors on the street, leaving them to wonder if they are the last people on Earth.
