A man from the past, The Grump, laments the decline of everything since 1953. After a fall, he's forced to spend a weekend in Helsinki for physiotherapy, disrupting his routine. He's reluctant due to various reasons, including having to take a taxi, leaving his wife with Alzheimer's unattended, and spending time with his family. His daughter-in-law, a career woman, is tasked with entertaining Russian businessmen, and The Grump's attempts to help only add to the chaos. As he navigates the weekend, The Grump must confront his own shortcomings as a father and learn to take care of his loved ones, ultimately ruining someone's day.
