The town of Hamelin is plagued by a massive rat infestation, and the desperate citizens offer a bag of gold to anyone who can eliminate the problem. A cunning piper accepts the challenge, using his enchanting music to lure the rats into a trap, only to abandon them in a mirage of cheese. However, the townspeople are left unimpressed, offering the piper a paltry sum of pocket change. In a fit of rage, the piper retaliates by playing a second tune that mesmerizes the town's children, including a pair of twins yet to be born, and leads them away from their families.
The Pied Piper
