The Plowboy background

The Plowboy

Mickey Mouse's eighth short film, released on June 28, 1929, marks the fifth installment of that year's Mickey Mouse film series.

In this animated film, Mickey Mouse tends to his farm duties, accompanied by his friends Horace and Clarabelle. Minnie Mouse joins in, singing a tune until Mickey steals a kiss, causing her to storm off. Meanwhile, Clarabelle becomes too affectionate with Mickey, prompting him to cleverly redirect her tongue. Later, a bee stings Horace, sending him into a wild gallop that ultimately destroys Mickey's plow.
