The boy is taken to the North Pole's workshop, where toys come to life and he gets to play with them. However, a candle accidentally starts a fire, and the toys' efforts to put it out are unsuccessful until the boy uses his resourcefulness with a hose connected to a set of bagpipes to extinguish the flames.
