Two American college students, Bert and Taylor, embark on a summer road trip through Italy and France in their old Puegeot. Bert is a charming ladies' man, while Taylor is more reserved. They meet Marty, a British expat, in Florence, and invite her to join their trip. Despite finding her attractive, they make a pact not to complicate the situation with romance or sex. As they travel together, each must confront what their time together really means and what will happen if the pact is broken.
