In this movie, a young American singer finds herself torn between her passion for music and her sense of duty during wartime. She joins a group of women working at an aircraft factory, where they are preparing to perform in a West End show. However, her ulterior motives are soon exposed, causing her to be shunned by her new colleagues who feel she is more interested in fame than in supporting the war effort.
