Tomorrow We Live background

Tomorrow We Live

The mayor's daughter embarks on a daring mission to smuggle a British agent out of the country, allowing him to reach England and share crucial intel that will significantly aid the Allied forces in their fight against the enemy.

During World War II, a French patriot named Jean Batiste sneaks into the small port of St. Pierre-le-Port in occupied Brittany, seeking safe passage to England. He befriends the townsfolk, including a waitress named Frisette, and finds refuge with a baker's mother. However, the local resistance movement is active in the area, and Jean soon becomes involved in their efforts to sabotage German operations. He falls in love with a young woman named Marie, who is pretending to cooperate with the Germans, and together they work to uncover the secrets of the German submarine base at St. Nazaire. As they navigate the dangers of living under occupation, they must also contend with the threat of betrayal from within their own ranks. In the end, Jean and Marie escape to England, but not before many brave French folk make the ultimate sacrifice for their country's freedom.
