Typhoon

A child marooned on a deserted island since a young age forms an extraordinary connection with a chimpanzee named Koko, her sole friend in a life of isolation.

A castaway girl, Dea, lives on a remote island with her only companion, a chimp named Koko. A former bookie and his drunken friend, a former Navy man, stumble upon the island after being shanghaied and chased by a local thug. The bookie's friend collapses on the beach and is taken in by Dea and Koko. As the bookie and his men try to leave the island, Dea begs the friend to stay, but he refuses. The group faces a series of challenges, including a mutiny, a fire, and a typhoon, before ultimately escaping the island on a lifeboat.
