Fariba, a educated Iranian woman, flees to Germany seeking asylum after being persecuted for her lesbian relationship. Despite her denial, she assumes the identity of a political refugee, Siamak, and is sent to a refugee camp. Struggling to adapt, Fariba finds work in a cabbage factory, where she faces difficulties due to her gender and illegal status. She forms a close bond with her colleague Anne, and they fall in love, but their relationship is threatened by prejudice and Fariba's illegal condition, putting her exile in Germany at risk.
