Two men, Michael Denning and Hector Servadac, are transported to the moon after a duel is interrupted by a comet's close pass. They find themselves in a lunar jungle, struggling to survive alongside reptiles and prehistoric humans. As they adapt to the dangers, they each form connections with a girl, waiting for the comet's return to bring them back to Earth.
