Eddie Marino, a factory worker in New York City, is devastated when his wife Vickie is stabbed and his son Scott is shot dead by Rico, the leader of a Puerto Rican street gang. Despite the police's failure to protect the victims, Eddie initially resists joining a vigilante group formed by his friend Nick, preferring to let the courts handle the case. However, when the corrupt Judge Sinclair sets Rico free with a light sentence, Eddie's anger and grief boil over, and he joins the vigilante group to exact revenge on Rico, his right-hand man Prago, and Judge Sinclair.
