In January 1945, a French regiment of paratroopers fights alongside an American unit to liberate Alsace in France. The Allied Division must take a forest bordering Jebsheim, setting the stage for the "French Stalingrad." The soldiers face a brutal winter, with prisoners of the cold, snow, and harsh conditions.
