Joan, a young girl from the French countryside, heard voices from heaven telling her to help free France and crown Prince Charles its rightful king. Despite initial rejection, Joan convinced the Prince of her divine calling and became a commander in his army. Under her leadership, Orleans was relieved and the English fled. However, Talbot, the English leader, accused Joan of witchcraft and heresy, leading to her capture, trial, and execution by fire. Years later, Joan's conviction was overturned, clearing her name.
