Two blind masseurs, Toku and Fuku, embark on a season-long retreat at a mountain inn, where they engage with their blind colleagues and various guests. Toku becomes smitten with a mysterious Tokyo woman, recognizable by her scent, and she reciprocates his interest. Meanwhile, a young nephew from Tokyo, bored and seeking entertainment, befriends the woman and Toku. However, a series of thefts at the inn soon after their arrival leads Toku to suspect one of the guests, including the Tokyo woman and her new acquaintance.
