Two English language students, Franz and Arthur, are obsessed with crime fiction, cinema, and popular culture, and dream of being a gang. They compete for the attention of their classmate Odile, who inadvertently tips them off about a large sum of cash hidden in her aunt's house. The amateur thieves plan a daring robbery, but their scheme is threatened by Arthur's powerful uncle.
