Bioscopewala is an extrapolation of Rabindranath Tagore's Kabuliwala, extending the story from where it ends. Kabuliwala shows films to children in Kolkata and longs for his daughter in Kabul ravaged by civil war. The movie stars Danny Denzongpa, Geetanjali Thapa, Tisca Chopra, and Adil Hussain.
