Melvin Byrd, a janitor at Cape Kennedy, dreams of being a scientist. He keeps the rocket project spotless with his inventive gadgets, including a "knight on a white horse" to battle dirt. When he meets Judy, a chimpanzee involved in a top-secret project, he's drawn into a restricted room where he discovers a surprising secret: anyone who enters will be ionized, allowing them to fly like a bird.
