In the midst of a city's plan to build a new civic center, a cunning Mafia Don seeks to profit from the land purchase by acquiring the last remaining property, an African-American karate school owned by Papa Byrd. After Papa Byrd's untimely death, his daughter Sydney is revealed to be the rightful owner of the school, but she is unaware of her father's passing. As the Mafia Don's henchmen, led by Pinky, try to muscle the school out of Sydney's hands, Black Belt Jones, a friend of Papa Byrd, becomes entangled in the conflict. With Jones' help, Sydney fights back against the Mafia, but as the stakes escalate, a deadly battle ensues.
