The story takes a terrifying turn when the director's father, as a child, was left handcuffed to a swing set, and a dark figure tried to take him. Those same handcuffs saved his life, preventing The Pill from claiming him and instilling a lasting fear. The film then shifts to Page Hollow, where a series of gruesome murders shatters the quiet community.
