Boy and Bicycle background

Boy and Bicycle

A restless teenager abandons the monotony of school and embarks on a solo journey, cycling through the town and along an isolated beach, as his thoughts drift to a world where he is the last person standing.

A 16-year-old boy spends a day cycling through a coastal village in Northumberland, exploring the shore, visiting a sweet shop, and reflecting on his thoughts and feelings about life, death, and his family. As he rides, the changing weather and scenery provide a backdrop for his introspections, which range from humorous observations about adults to poignant contemplations on mortality. When a sudden rainstorm rolls in, he seeks shelter in a nearby shack, where he makes an unexpected discovery.
