Four old college friends, struggling with their personal issues, find themselves dependent on each other after a reunion. Pieter, a troublemaker, gets them entangled in his scheme to keep valuable paintings he stole from the art depot. Tom, a former lawyer now struggling with addiction, is drawn into the plan. Meanwhile, politician Joep, hiding from his wife and seeking to become a cabinet member, finds refuge with Pieter. His daughter is involved in a play with Maarten, the director, who is hiding a secret affair with her.
