Conquest of Cochise

A storied cavalry officer navigates treacherous diplomacy as he confronts the fiery Indian leader Cochise, who is increasingly driven to resort to warfare.

In 1853, the Gadsden Purchase brings a portion of Mexico into the United States, and an Army Major is dispatched to Tucson to negotiate peace with the Indians. He successfully makes amends with Apache leader Cochise, but struggles to persuade the Comanches to agree.
