Displaced Perssons background

Displaced Perssons

A Swedish expat, Per Persson, settles in Pakistan after 40 years and builds a new life, only to have his daughters, Zahra and Maria, grown curious about their heritage and ask to visit their father's homeland.

Per Persson left Sweden 40 years ago and fell in love in Pakistan, where he raised his daughters Zahra and Maria. Despite their Pakistani upbringing, the girls began to express a desire to visit Sweden, but their uncles controlled them strictly. Per wants to show them a different way of living, including education and work, but their mother Shamim is hesitant to leave behind her donkey cart. Eventually, the family decides to emigrate to Sweden, but their expectations are turned upside down when they arrive in a caravan outside Hassleholm.
