A reclusive genius is drawn back to his old university to develop groundbreaking robotic software.
In 2041, a renowned robot programmer returns to his hometown to work at his alma mater, only to be drawn into a project to create a new line of robot children. As he works, he reconnects with his brother, his former lover who is now his brother's wife, and his 10-year-old niece, who becomes the muse for the new robot.
