In London, a group of frog-themed gang members, recognizable by their frog tattoo, wreak havoc under the leadership of their masked figure. The leader takes a particular interest in the young and beautiful Ella Bennett, as does Richard Gordon, the smart and charming nephew of Scotland Yard's Chief Sir Archibald, who is also an amateur detective. With the help of his capable but strong-willed butler James, Richard tries to uncover the secrets of the frog gang. Many suspects emerge, including John Bennett, Ella and Ray's father, whose children are unaware of his activities on his trips to London and the contents of the black suitcase he always carries.
