Tommy Lundy, a cocky world champion boxer, trades his gloves for a Broadway stage, seeking to leverage his fame into a successful show. However, his attention is soon diverted to Pat Lambert, a stunning chorus girl, and he begins to pursue her, much to the dismay of her boyfriend Bill Smith. Despite Tommy's efforts, Bill remains unimpressed, even after Tommy secures him a role in the show. But when Tommy discovers that Pat and Bill had a secret encounter the night before the show's premiere, he becomes enraged and plots to turn their boxing scene into a brutal, real-life fight.
