In New York, Dr. Victor Frankenstein, a medical university professor, assembles a corpse from body parts bought from a janitor. Meanwhile, Egyptologist Naihla Khalil returns from an expedition with the cursed Mummy of Usekara, a cruel pharaoh. As Victor and Naihla develop feelings for each other, Professor Walton's accidental release of Usekara's soul leads to chaos. Possessed by the pharaoh's spirit, Walton kills his assistant and awakens the Mummy. The monster then targets Naihla, as both it and the Mummy vie for her attention.
