This ninja thriller is based on a Japanese folk legend, similar to Robin Hood. Goemon Ishikawa, a skilled thief, leaves his clan after its leader is murdered and uses his abilities to aid the poor. However, after discovering the killer's identity, the traitorous Hideyoshi, Goemon embarks on a path of vengeance, joined by his loyal friend Saizo.
