A Turkish woman, Sükran, in her 40s, works at a pay box in Haydarpasa. She has a son, Veysel, who works in a factory. After her husband's involvement in politics caused her harm, Sükran wants to protect Veysel from similar experiences. When Veysel goes missing, Sükran searches for him but is unsuccessful. She then appeals to the authorities for help, but they refuse her request.
