American adventurer Jeff Williams, a fedora and leather jacket-wearing rogue, is hired to steal a priceless Buddha statue. After completing the job, he finds himself stuck with the statue's owner, a young Chinese boy named Wei Lin, who has escaped the Chinese Civil War. As Jeff grows fond of the boy and a schoolteacher named Julie, he must help them escape Hong Kong while also fending off his double-crossing employees.
