In the film, a group of punk thieves, Hal McQueen, Tic-Tac, and Monte, meticulously plan a heist to steal a large payroll. Their initial goal is to kidnap the daughter of a liquor store owner, Carolyn Elliott. However, as Hal McQueen gets to know Carolyn, he begins to see the error of his ways and romance blossoms between them, despite the unconventional circumstances.
