Loaded Pistols background

Loaded Pistols

A crusading lawyer takes on the challenging task of vindicating a wrongly accused youth, while simultaneously uncovering the truth behind the crime and bringing the actual culprits to justice.

In this Gene Autry film, the leading lady, Barbara Britton, shares top billing with Autry, making Champion, his horse, the co-star. The story follows Larry Evans, who's on the run after being accused of murder. Gene Autry, investigating the crime, discovers that anyone could have used Larry's gun, which was left in the poker pot. Gene finds Larry and his sister Mary in a hideaway and sends Mary back to town while hiding Larry with a miner named Jim Hedge. As Gene investigates further, he uncovers a plot to buy the Evans ranch and decides to re-enact the murder with the suspects, revealing the killer's identity.
