Manslaughter background

Manslaughter

A woman's reckless behavior causes the death of a motorcycle police officer, leading to a tense standoff with her fiancé, who is now her prosecutor and judge.

Lydia Thorne, a thrill-seeking heiress, is unempathetic when her maid is imprisoned for stealing her jewelry. As District Attorney Daniel O'Bannon tries to reform her, he's reminded of a Roman orgy, leading him to believe Lydia must be sent to jail for her own good after her reckless driving causes a motorcycle cop's death.
