A barber for the French royal court, Beaucaire, finds himself in a precarious situation after causing trouble for the king, ultimately leading to a death sentence. However, his fate is altered when the Duc de Chandre intervenes, whisking him away to the Spanish court, where he assumes the identity of a nobleman. Unfortunately, his new persona only seems to attract more complications.
