Tom Garrison, a Petty Officer in the Merchant Marines, returns to his cattle ranch on shore leave, accompanied by his shipmates. He finds that women have taken over the ranch due to a WWII manpower shortage, led by Patty Andrews, Maxene Andrews, Laverne Andrews, Lou Ferguson, and Abigail. The cowgirls report that many cattle have gone missing, and they hire Pasqualito, a self-proclaimed great detective, and his assistant Ogala to investigate.
