Mudbound background

Mudbound

Two World War II veterans face a challenging readjustment to life on a rural Mississippi farm, grappling with the harsh realities of racism and searching for a new sense of purpose.

In the post-WWII Mississippi Delta, two families, one black and one white, share a patch of land, maintaining a fragile peace. The return of two war veterans, Ronsel and Jamie, sparks a friendship that crosses racial lines, but ultimately, life is harsh under segregation and racism.
