Two 21-year-olds, Kim Ji-Hoon and Choi Su-Wan, were born in 1982. Su-Wan's family struggles financially, and she needs to earn money to help. Her mother's friend, Ji-Hoon's mother, asks Su-Wan to tutor Ji-Hoon, who is a rebellious high school student, to study for 2 hours a day for 3 months. The job pays Su-Wan's entire semester tuition. Ji-Hoon's relationship with his parents is strained due to being sent to the US at a young age, and he must gain an average of 50 marks in the mid-term exam to avoid being sent away again.
