Nihon chinbotsu background

Nihon chinbotsu

In a desperate bid to ensure humanity's survival, the Japanese government orchestrates a massive evacuation effort, relocating its citizens to foreign shores in the aftermath of a devastating catastrophe that has ravaged the nation's population.

After a massive earthquake strikes Suraga Bay, a young girl named Misaki and a deep sea submarine pilot named Toshiro are rescued from a ruined city street just as it ignites. Scientists predict Japan will sink in 40 years due to a tectonic plate subduction, but Dr. Tadokoro calculates it will happen in just 338.54 days. As the country faces devastating earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions, the government pleads with other countries to take in refugees.
