A dog searches for shelter on a cold winter's day, trying out various options, including a doghouse, bird's nest, and turtle's shell, before finding an unoccupied cabin with a warm fireplace and cozy bed. However, the cabin's owner, a skunk, arrives, and the two engage in a humorous battle over occupancy. Eventually, they come down with colds, allowing them to ignore each other's scent and peacefully share the bed, before falling asleep together.

A lonely dog, shivering in the snow, faces rejection at every door he approaches. In a last-ditch effort, he finds himself at the doorstep of the eccentric Pepe LePew, only to be consumed by the skunk's pungent aroma.
