Alex, a 16-year-old high school dropout, is sent to a farm internship by her adoptive mother in a last-ditch effort to set her straight. On the farm, she meets Nina, a riding instructor in her thirties, who is taking a break from her partner Christine and their city life. Initially, Alex despises the farm, but she eventually forms a connection with the horses. She clashes with Kathy, an upper-class woman on vacation, but as the days pass, the girls form an unlikely friendship. When left alone one weekend, their bond leads to chaos.
