Payment in Blood background

Payment in Blood

A grizzled fighter forms an unlikely alliance with a group of rebels to embark on a treacherous journey to uncover a hidden cache of gold, concealed during the tumultuous American Civil War.

In 1867 Texas, a group of Confederate commanders, including Colonel Thomas Blake, refuse to surrender after the American Civil War. Rumors spread about Blake's brutal tactics, and authorities offer large rewards for his capture or killing. Blake seeks the 200,000 dollars that went missing from the Confederate coffers, last seen in General Beauregard's strong box. A trusted aide, Chamaco Gonzales, is captured by Union forces, but is saved by Stuart, a former staff officer under General Beauregard, who claims to know the strong box's location.
