Benjamin Britten's opera PETER GRIMES is a globally admired work, known for its emotional intensity and portrayal of a community struggling to accept the outsider Peter Grimes. In 2013, the opera will be staged on Aldeburgh beach, its original setting, as dusk falls over the sea. The production, directed by Tim Albery and conducted by Steuart Bedford, will be filmed for cinematic release, with Margaret Williams directing the multi-camera shoot.
