A centuries-old defense mechanism is pilfered in the city of Altomare, sparking a heart-pumping adventure as two resourceful thieves flee and set the stage for a high-stakes pursuit.

In the water capital of the world, Alto Mare, a group of thieves has taken refuge in its canals and alleyways. Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of the Pokémon team must work together to apprehend the thieves. Along the way, they meet two new Pokémon, Latias and Latios, a brother-sister duo tasked with protecting the precious Droplet of the Heart.
