In the poor village near the Karnataka and Maharashtra border, a young girl named Pranali is born into a life of poverty. She is forced into a Devdasi marriage at a young age and is sold to a politician for land. After escaping and filing a police complaint, Pranali is sent to a shelter where she meets other prostitutes. She becomes pregnant and decides to keep her daughter, Roshni, despite the challenges she faces in securing school admission for her child.
