Notorious criminal Lou Gannon is sentenced to 20 years in a maximum-security prison after evading convictions for a decade. He plans his escape, forming an alliance with a group of inmates, including Doc, a seasoned prisoner, and Bugsy, a violent psychopath who controls the others. Gannon's cellmate, Rudy, is a former gang member trying to reform, but he gets roped into helping with the escape plan. As the escape team smuggles weapons into the prison, they prepare for a riot to distract the guards. However, Gannon has a secret plan to escape alone, leaving his co-conspirators behind.
