Romance of the West background

Romance of the West

An Indian Agent named Eddie Dean sets out to investigate claims of treaty violations by a local tribe, working to preserve peace and stability.

Eddie, the new Indian Agent, is tasked with overseeing the lives of the happy Indians in Antelope Valley. However, the town selectmen have ulterior motives, seeking to occupy the valley due to its silver deposits. They resort to underhanded tactics, hiring outlaw Indians and Chico to stir up trouble, hoping the army will forcibly remove the Indians and claim the land for themselves. Meanwhile, Father Sullivan and Eddie remain steadfast in their belief that the Indians are being unfairly treated, but their efforts to convince others fall on deaf ears.
