In 1985, the Soviet space station Salyut 7, a symbol of Soviet engineering, suddenly lost contact with its control center. If it falls to Earth, it could cause catastrophic damage and loss of life. To prevent this, a team must be sent to investigate and repair the station, a task considered the most challenging in space exploration history due to the unprecedented attempt to dock an uncontrolled vehicle in space.
