Scrat discovers an island and takes a rest at the base of a coconut tree, where he finds the skeleton of another Scrat. After overcoming his initial fear, he investigates the skeleton and follows the arm to a hidden acorn underwater. To retrieve it, Scrat comes up with a plan to jump into the water while holding a rock, but things don't go as planned. He loses his nose and becomes severely compressed by the pressure, only to find the acorn is half the size he expected. The back of the acorn reveals a map to the giant acorn, but Scrat runs out of oxygen and begins to float downwards. Just then, a marlin skeleton snatches the acorn map, pulling Scrat into a seaweed-covered area where he crashes into a salmon and a crab.
