A gold-smuggling operation is secretly run by "Pop" Hodges, who owns an equipment store and a fishing boat. His niece, Susan Clarke, is unaware of this and is engaged to Mike Sloan, a deep-sea diver. When Mike discovers a man trying to steal gold from Hodges' storeroom, he knocks him out, but Hodges kills the man and frames Mike for the crime. Mike is forced to dive for smuggled gold, putting his engagement to Susan at risk.
